Students trip to Panama co-organized by Dr. Akhavian

In collaboration with the Julia Burke Foundation, Hands for Global Health and Hands for Americas nonprofits, and CSUEB Nursing Department, Dr. Akhavian and Dr. Gaedicke led a group of construction management students to build a semi-industrial chicken coop for an underrepresented local community in Panama. The project was part of a volunteer health care and sustainable food program that targets community health and food security in disadvantaged communities.
